How to Speak Fluent English in Just 90 Days

5 tips for fluent english

You’re hard working. Good looking. And earn well as well. But you fear speaking in English.

Some days, you wish for someone who could teach you English in one day or one night so that next morning you can go to your office and surprise all your colleagues with your new avatar.

It’s not that you never tried speaking English. In fact you did buy a lot of books that claimed to teach you English in 90 days or 60 days or within a month. You also paid to institutes that promised you fluent English in 60 days or less.

But nothing helped much.  And then you mistakenly believed that you will never be able to speak English the way Britishers or Americans speak, or at least the colleague next cubicle speaks. You know what, I believe from the bottom of my heart that you can speak English, no matter what degrees you hold or do not hold, where do you work, what you work, or how old or young you are. You can speak English- if I can, you too can.

Here are 5 tips, 5 ways to get better at English in 90 days (even less, if you practice the tips daily) and speak it the way you always dreamed about.

1.

The habit of reading helped me talk better in English

I did my schooling from a Government school. I studied in an Evening college. And I don’t have a family or circle of friends who are good with English. But I still managed to get a good command over English – and all credit goes to books that I have read so far.

Reading books – which are easily available on Amazon and Flipkart – will not only help you become a creative person full of imagination and ideas, but also help you get better at English. Try this for a month and see the results.

2.

Start your morning with a prayer for 10 minutes (in English), newspaper reading (in English) for 15 minutes, watching news (in English) on TV for 20 minutes:

So, what i want is, just 45 minutes of your morning time for the next 30 days.

The other 30 days, you can bring a little bit change in your things; let the prayer thing intact; you can replace newspaper reading with ‘Watching a Program on NDTV Good Times’.

The Last 30 days, you can keep the prayer and watching program on NDTV good Times intact, and replace news with 20 minutes of self-talking; stand in-front-of a mirror and talk to yourself in English (over any topic that comes in your mind), and in a loud voice (check there is no body around sleeping:)

3.

Think in English

The wise men of Africa say, ‘As you think, so shall you be,’ so, if you want to see yourself as a man who speaks English fluently, you got to start thinking in English. I know, it’s gonna be difficult initially, but, after some 20-21 days, you’ll start doing it unconsciously.

4.

Arrange a Private Tutor for One Month

He/she’ll cost you some 10,000 bucks (may be, a little more or a little less), but, you’ll get the value of every penny you’ll spend on private tutoring. Group classes are okay, but, i’ll highly recommend private tutoring.

5.

Start Writing; start Speaking

I don’t want you to become a writer, and write a book on how you achieved a mastery over English with the help of some tips from a Blog on WordPress; i just want you to write some 5 to 7 pages every Saturday and Sunday (on any topic that comes in your mind). The idea here is to mke you sit, write, and speak.

I’m done with the post And I hope this post, these ideas help you learn English the right way. Try them at least for 90 days.

You too may have some tips, some ways to share on learning English, or for that matter any language. Please share those.

    1. It’s so great to have you here:) And, thanks so much for you kind words!

Hope you’ll keep checking the new updates!

  1. This’ that very way what a lot of teachers can’t get. So, you’ve got a lot of coursebooks you learn by heart pretty many words but it’s not the way. I can’t play the guitar without playing the guitar. The same I can’t speak English without speaking English and this’ is the first in my English speaker way. There’s a word ‘diction’ what defines kind of language logic (of course, I get native speakers know the definition). So, it means you shouldn’t (I’d rather say you mustn’t) translate because of different diction. And that thing means you are not a stranger in this culture you are a little native speaker. You go the same way with a child.

  3. I feel thinking in English is somewhat absurdity. Thinking has no language. In fact language is a tool used to express one;s thinking

  4. Sankaranrayanan, thanks for sharing your thought here! Well, we all can have different opinions, and there is nothing wrong with that. If you think that thinking in English is somewhat absurdity, it’s perfectly fine.

However, i have shared this tip (that a person who is interested in spoken English should work on his/her thinking pattern first) with many, and many of those many:) were happy with the results.
